Admissions/ EM College Assistant

POSITION DETAILS Under the Admissions Processing supervision, performs miscellaneous clerical, processing applications, administrative, research, or other work related to the operation of Admissions at Borough of Manhattan Community College or other unit where such work is required on a part-time basis or for a period of limited duration. There is one Assignment Level for this position. All personnel perform related work. This specification describes typical assignments; related duties may be assigned as needed. Maximum tenure for any employee in this hourly position is 1040 hours per year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties of the assigned tasks.

- Aptitude to learn new systems as needed.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite preferred; experience with Word and Excel required.
- Experience using CUNYfirst (PeopleSoft) is a plus.
WORK TASKS OVERVIEW
- Performs routine clerical work; may answer and attend to telephone calls and emails; maintain records, operate office machines (such as copiers and scanners), Zooms, and perform related tasks as required.
- Process Admissions applications in CUNYfirst (PeopleSoft) system.
- Reviews documents for possible admissions.
- May collect and compile data, code data for computer entry, perform data entry, and run computer reports.
- Will provide coverage for other units within the division of Enrollment Management with or without advanced notice.
- Maintains paper and/or electronic files using established procedures; retrieves files as requested. -
- Will be responsible for assisting with Open Houses, In-Person Registration, and other events assigned by the director or designated supervisor.
- Will be required to work 3-5 Saturdays within the fiscal year, as per the needs of the Office of Admissions
