Engraver- Full Time

Borsheims is looking for a full-time Engraver in the Omaha area to join our team. At Borsheims, we take pride in providing our Signature Service to every customer, and you will play a vital role in helping us do that.

We are seeking an individual who will deliver Borsheims' omnichannel Signature Service to our customers while focusing on our mission of 'celebrating the special moments in our customers' lives.' As Engraver, you will be responsible for engraving, etching and foiling various types of jewelry and gifts. If you have a keen eye for detail, you may be the gem we've been searching for!

You Will:

• Engrave or etch flat or curved metal, glass or other materials with a machine for printing, identification, or decorative purposes.
• Review all incoming job envelopes received for engraving, foiling, etching, etc. for complete instructions. You will verify merchandise, match job envelope descriptions and organize jobs according to due dates.
• Communicate with customers or associates regarding information, questions or suggestions as needed.
• Review and scan logos or signatures into the computer to determine the design to be engraved. You will print proofs or examine designs to verify accuracy.
• Measure and compute dimensions of lettering, designs or patterns to be engraved in the computer before processing to ensure fit, desired look, etc.
• Determine and set the machine settings and adjust bars or levers to reproduce the design on metal, glass, leather, or other materials.
• Etch crystal or glass items which requires the use of cutting fluid/chemicals and water.
• Follow equipment safety procedures at all times, including SAS guidelines and proper processes for using, maintaining, storing, and eliminating all chemical solutions associated with required work.
• Keep equipment in good working order through proper use, maintenance and cleaning. You will report equipment failure directly to the shop manager.

• Read and write small print.
• Move about the store from department to department.
• Use engraver tools while pushing and exerting pressure, handle small jewelry and gift items and perform repetitive motions with hands.
• Sit for 8+ hours.
• Operate a 10-key, a computer keyboard, and office equipment.
• Work in a shop environment i.e., elevated noise, steamer, minor dust, etc.
• Lift and carry approximately 20 lbs.
