Marketing Communications Intern
Location: Euclid Chemical, 19215 Redwood Road, Cleveland, OH 44110
Schedule: In-person only, up to 24 hours/week (Monday–Wednesday)
Overview:
The Marketing Communications Summer Intern will support the MarCom team across a variety of projects involving digital asset organization, packaging documentation, internal communications, and marketing content creation.
This role is ideal for a student interested in marketing, communications, digital asset management, graphic design processes, and gaining hands-on experience within a collaborative, fast-paced corporate marketing department.
The intern will work closely with the Marketing Services Director, Digital Marketing Manager, Senior Graphic Designer, and other marketing and sales staff, gaining exposure to real-world workflows, tools, systems, and brand consistency practices used across the organization.
Key Projects and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer on real-world design projects
- Create, organize, and maintain a comprehensive database of packaging materials, including artwork files, product images, die lines, regulatory labels, and historical versions
- Organize the digital inventory of trade show graphics, displays, and booth components.
- Support coordination of marketing materials for internal trainings and presentations
- Compile competitor or industry research to support planning
- Help organize project folders, update trackers, and maintain timelines
- Support simple website or digital content updates (copy/paste, formatting, uploading)
- Provide administrative support including preparing documents and organizing reference files
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program focused on Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Web Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and SharePoint preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with an organized approach to managing files, assets, and tasks.
- Working knowledge of design principles (layout, typography, color, print basics).
- Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to feedback, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with digital file systems, organizational tools, and process documentation.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems, tools, and workflow practices.
