Receptionist
The City is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of our organization. This position plays a key role in greeting visitors, routing calls, coordinating mail services, and supporting daily operations while contributing to a professional, efficient, and service-oriented workplace.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, verifying access, answering and routing calls, and providing basic information with professionalism and courtesy.
- Receive, log, sort, and distribute mail and packages while maintaining accurate visitor, intake, and package records.
- Maintain administrative operations by updating calendars, desk manuals, timecards, and monitoring internal portals for policy and procedural updates.
- Support City values and operational excellence through strong customer service, safe work practices, teamwork, and accurate clerical, financial, and personnel processing.
Minimum Training & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED;
- One (1) year of experience that includes receptionist, sales, service industry, or clerical work involving heavy public contact.
Necessary Special Requirements
- At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required at the time of appointment for any designated positions allocated to this class.
