Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and provides excellent client service while supporting our medical team with skill and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, treatments and procedures
- Safely restrain animals for treatment and examination
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness of clinic facilities
- Administer medications as directed
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Care for hospitalized patients (feeding, walking, monitoring)
- Provide excellent client communication and support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment
- Independently answers calls and helps our CSC team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior veterinary or animal care experience preferred
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and willing to work at multiple clinic locations if needed
- Passion for animal health and client service
