Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and provides excellent client service while supporting our medical team with skill and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, treatments and procedures 
• Safely restrain animals for treatment and examination
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness of clinic facilities
• Administer medications as directed
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Care for hospitalized patients (feeding, walking, monitoring)
• Provide excellent client communication and support
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment
• Independently answers calls and helps our CSC team 
  
   

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior veterinary or animal care experience preferred
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and willing to work at multiple clinic locations if needed
• Passion for animal health and client service
