Job Summary
The Sheboygan County YMCA is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director for Camp Y-Koda, an 80-acre outdoor education and summer camp program serving youth, families, and the community.
The Executive Director of Camp Y-Koda provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple program areas including:
- Summer Camp programs
- Maywood summer and school-year programming
- School district partnerships
- Annual fundraising initiatives
- Camp Y-Koda facilities and grounds
This leader works closely with staff, volunteers, and the YMCA Executive Team to ensure program growth, safety, member satisfaction, and financial sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience managing staff, programs, and budgets
- Ability to analyze financial and participation data
- Preferred: 6+ years of management experience in a YMCA or nonprofit organization
Essential Functions
- Lead, recruit, and supervise camp staff and volunteers
- Oversee summer camp and outdoor education programming
- Manage camp facilities, operations, and safety
- Develop and manage budgets and monitor financial performance
- Support annual fundraising initiatives and donor relationships
- Build partnerships with schools, organizations, and community groups
- Collaborate with YMCA leadership on strategic planning and program growth
Required Certifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must obtain YMCA Organizational Leader Certification within 3 years
