Alaska Youth Stewards crew leader

The Alaska Youth Stewards program is looking for crew leaders age 19 and older for the summer of 2026!  Crew leaders are responsible for supporting youth ages day to day on natural resource project work in the field and are hired by the program host organization.  Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience.  

The Alaska Youth Stewards program is looking of committed individuals with:

  • Experience working with high school aged youth
  • Experience in natural resource related work 
  • Leadership ability
  • Backcountry experience
