Bookkeeper

Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2 days/week in-office)
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (depending on candidate availability)

About the Role:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our small team. In this role you will support the day-to-day finance and administrative operations of our farm management investment business. This role will focus on processing vendor invoices, assisting with bill approvals, scheduling payments, journal entries, and contributing to various finance-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record incoming invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with bill approval workflows and ensure proper documentation and authorization
  • Schedule and track vendor payments in coordination with the finance team
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
  • Support ongoing finance and accounting tasks related to farm operations
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects and reporting as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline and improve financial processes

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self starter, driven, and curious
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping or accounting principles
  • Comfortable using Excel, Adobe, Dropbox, Bill.com and accounting software (Sage Intacct experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Availability to work from our San Francisco office at least two days per week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework or experience in accounting, finance, or business administration

Previous internship or administrative experience in a finance-related role
