Upper School Chemistry and Environmental Science Faculty

Job Title:  Upper School Chemistry and Environmental Science Faculty (2026-27) 

Department:   Upper School

Category:     Faculty; Full Time; Salary; Exempt 

Reports To: Upper School Principal 

Salary Range:    $48,802 - $84,544 DOE 

Summary: Instructs students in one or more subjects by performing essential teaching duties, assuring that the mission of the schools is supported. Models a servant’s heart and promotes an attitude of respect, teamwork and professionalism by speaking well of other faculty and staff members; supporting our entire school system-lower school, middle school, upper school; praying for and with other faculty and staff; encouraging others in Godly living and excellence; lovingly holding others accountable; actively pursuing ways to encourage members of the schools. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) 

Instructs students by engaging them in the learning process through a wide variety of instructional strategies, including lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations Understands different learning styles and incorporates multiple styles in teaching Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of the school Assigns lessons and corrects homework, quizzes, tests, projects, etc. in a timely manner Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress..... Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 

 Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; or Fifth year college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; valid teaching credential. 

 

Credentials, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A certified teaching credential is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered by the administration in lieu of a credential, depending upon the teacher’s department and duties.
