Staff Accounting Administrator
We are a specialized manufacturing business seeking a financial lead to manage our end-to-end accounting cycle and operational data. You will be responsible for ensuring our custom production runs are profitable through rigorous job costing and pricing analysis. While a PEO handles our actual payroll execution, you will be the internal lead for all financial reporting, tax coordination, and manufacturing analytics.
This position requires an expert level proficiency in QuickBooks with a strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe and the adaptability to learn new software. The ideal candidate will be capable of doing more than data entry, we are looking for someone with a passion for finance to be the heartbeat of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute: Confidentiality, Reliability and Integrity.
- Monthly Reporting: Complete full bank and credit card reconciliations. Generate and present monthly P&L statements and Balance Sheets.
- AP/AR: Manage all vendor payments and customer invoicing.
- Tax Coordination: Execute monthly sales tax filings/payments. Compile and organize all year-end financial data for delivery to our outside CPA.
- Payroll Administration: Coordinate weekly payroll submission to our PEO (Frank Crum). Audit PEO reports for accuracy, ensure proper department coding for job costing, and manage internal time-tracking.
- Manufacturing Job Costing: Track labor hours, raw materials, and overhead for specialized production runs. Analyze "Actual vs. Estimated" costs to ensure project profitability.
- Pricing Analysis: Evaluate margins on specialized goods; provide data-driven recommendations to ownership based on material fluctuations and labor efficiency.
Education, Skills:
- Mastery of Quickbooks, certification a plus but not required
- Expert proficiency in Excel with use of Pivot Tables
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing
- A.A. in Accounting, Finance or related field is a plus
- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to create PDF files from Word / Powerpoint. Familiarity with Adobe.
- Working knowledge of GAAP principals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
- High emotional intelligence
