Ubicquia is a global leader in providing innovative smart city, smart grid, and
connectivity platforms that make communities smarter, safer and more connected.
We develop new products, solutions and experiences enabling the next generation of
5G and IoT platforms for cities, utilities and mobile operators worldwide.
We are in search of creative talent to join our design organization and employ a
user-centered design approach in order to optimize business strategies, enhance our
brand, ensure usability and development of rich experiences. Our group is
responsible for defining the physical/digital experience of new devices.
We are currently looking for a creative Product Designer to join the multidisciplinary
design team based out of our Corporate Headquarters, located in vibrant downtown
Fort Lauderdale.
We work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and partner with the sales group,
marketing team and software engineering, to create the next design icons of the
tech industry. The UI/UX intern needs to be comfortable in working on both
physical and digital spaces and help the staff designers in the following: exploring
design concepts, visualize the concepts, develop Icons and UI flows, explore use
cases, help the team in preparing presentations. The position requires exceptional
conceptualization, illustration and prototyping skills, and overall design acumen. The
ideal candidate needs be able to meet the following requirements:
• Highly creative and detail oriented
• Eager to learn, self-motivated with a high level of responsibility and
professionalism
• Aware of graphic trends
• Strong conceptual/prototyping skills
• Creative Problem Solving
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical, organization and communication skills.
• Tools Knowledge: Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD, ProtoPie
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere / After effects are a plus
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Design
• Previous design internship is a definite plus.
This is a paid internship.
