Music Therapist (MT-BC)
Location: Western & Central Ohio
Type: Full-Time | 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Music Therapist (MT-BC) to provide therapeutic music services to active and bereaved patients and their families. This role works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team to support emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs through music therapy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy (AMTA-approved program)
- MT-BC certification required
- Current Ohio LPMT licensure
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Hospice or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic music techniques and diverse musical styles
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct music therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide music therapy interventions addressing medical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs
- Utilize techniques such as music listening, songwriting, improvisation, lyric discussion, and performance
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings (IDG)
- Assist with bereavement and grief support services
- Educate staff, volunteers, and the community on music therapy
- Complete timely and accurate documentation per agency and regulatory standards
- Supervise students, interns, or volunteers as applicable
