We are searching for the best talent for Data science metadata/governance intern to be in PA Spring House.
- The Intern term is from May to August, 2026.
- Full time requirement (40 hours per week).
Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Summer Intern to support our Data Science and AI projects within the R&D Data Science & Digital Health organization. In this role, you will play a key part in translating complex business needs into impactful data science questions and applying cutting-edge analytics and machine learning/AI techniques to drive innovation in healthcare. you will help to execute the Data Science/ AI projects for R&D Data Science & Digital Health organization.
The intern will contribute to projects that enhance patient care through technology, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing field of digital health.
You will be responsible
In this role, you will work with colleagues in the R&D Data Science & Digital Health organization and partner with key businesses across Janssen to apply advanced data science and analytics to answer key research questions. The intern will contribute to projects that enhance patient care through technology, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing field of digital health.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
- Currently pursuing a master’s, or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Biology, Biomedical Informatics, or related quantitative discipline.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
- Solid understanding of data science, large language models (LLMs), Generative AI (GenAI), and machine learning techniques.
- Proficiency in the following programming languages: Python and SQL.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare systems and digital health technologies.
Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
