HR Intern

POSITION: HR Intern

TIME COMMITMENT: 40 hours per week on-site in Tavares, Florida. 8-week commitment preferred. (MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO TAVARES, FL - Housing not provided)

SALARY: $14/hour; College credits may be arranged. Work experience at #98 on the Inc 5000's list

DESCRIPTION:

Sunday Cool is seeking a motivated intern to provide support to their HR Department. 

 

DUTIES:

Daily duties include, but are not limited to

  • Assist with new hire onboarding tasks, including preparing paperwork, collecting I-9
    documentation, and updating employee files
  • Support the HR team with data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining accurate employee
    information.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building
    activities.
  • Assist with posting job openings, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
  • Help maintain compliance documentation and ensure forms are completed and stored
    properly.
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects, audits, and process improvements.
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned by the HR Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited 2-or 4-year program or institution and have completed at least one semester OR recent college graduate (within the last 12 months).
  2. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by the time the internship begins
  3. Possess unrestricted work authorization
  4. Must have reliable transportation
  • Students who have not yet graduated from high school but have dual enrollment with a college are not eligible to apply.
  • Those who have taken college courses but are currently taking “time off” from school are also not eligible to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Obtaining a college degree in Human Resource Management or a similar area of study

  • Highly motivated; dynamic, detail-orientated
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivating
  • Proficiency in Microsoft
  • Proficiency in Mac
