This vacancy is for a Program Analyst position located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

Duties

  • Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of policies, operations, and activities within the assigned program area.
  • Develops recommendations and solutions to resolve issues that have a direct impact on the organization’s ability to accomplish principal program goals and objectives.
  • Researches and investigates new or improved business and management practices for application to programs or operations.
  • Ensures that mitigation strategies and tactics will mitigate the risks, can be established, followed, and employed as necessary to achieve the final goal.
  • Represents the program on committees and workgroups and at conferences and meetings and informs management of developments and results of representational activities.
