Engineering, Design, and Innovation Teacher

 

Pioneer Academy is seeking a highly effective Engineering teacher with 2-3 years of teaching experience for the 2026-2027 academic year.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Intro to Engineering classes to students at various levels, including introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses.
  • Create and implement lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with the curriculum and the school's educational goals.
  • Develop and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Provide individualized instruction to students with varying levels of experience and proficiency in engineering and robotics.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback on their performance, including grades and progress reports to parents and school administration.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in computer science and robotics education, and integrate new teaching methodologies into the curriculum as appropriate.
  • Ability to design prototypes, build and test machines, and maintain the software that controls them. They also conduct research to find the most cost-efficient and safest process to manufacture their robotic systems.
  • Create a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured learning environment that excites and invests in students.
  • Motivate students to reach high academic and behavioral standards. 
  • Can work with students in a way that boosts confidence, inspires their technical learning, builds both problem-solving and collaborative skills, and puts students into a position of better understanding.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

This is a full-time position, working hours are 9:30 am to 5:30 pm during the regular school week.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 
  • This position is for the 2026/2027 academic year. A minimum of one year of teaching experience is preferred. NJ certification is not required but preferred.

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience.
