Sales and Marketing Intern

Job Summary

The Sales and Marketing Intern supports the organization and maintenance of sales and marketing materials while gaining hands-on exposure to sales operations and marketing workflows. This role plays an important behind-the-scenes part in ensuring teams have accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible materials that support customer engagement and revenue growth.

This internship provides meaningful learning opportunities in business communication, content organization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize sales and marketing documents across shared drives, SharePoint, and CRM-linked folders
  • Maintain orderly libraries for presentations, proposals, one-pagers, case studies, and marketing collateral
  • Update existing documents with approved changes (pricing notes, product descriptions, dates, contacts, branding updates)
  • Assist in preparing materials for marketing campaigns, events, and customer communications
  • Support the organization and management of digital and print content libraries
  • Utilize AI tools responsibly to improve document organization, formatting, content drafting, and workflow efficiency
  • Ensure version control and consistency across sales and marketing documents
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members to improve file structure and document accessibility
  • Perform additional administrative or project support tasks as assigned
  • Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite for the duration of scheduled shifts

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related field

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with SharePoint or CRM systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI tools (such as generative AI platforms for drafting, summarizing, research, and/or content organization) and an understanding of responsible, ethical AI use in a business setting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn

Working Conditions

This position primarily operates in a professional office setting. This role may occasionally travel for business purposes.

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
    • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Work Schedule:
    • The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with occasional evening or weekend work as needed to meet deadlines or attend events. Work schedules may vary based on position/department.
    • Travel: up to 10%
  • Additional Conditions:
    • The employee must comply with all safety guidelines and workplace policies/practices
