Intern for Traveling Art Installation Tour
HIRO DIAPERS — THE TRAVELING DIAPER TOUR Intern Application — 2 Spots Only
We built a sculpture made of 6,000 diapers.
Now we're driving it across the country from Austin Texas to New York City — arriving before Earth Day, April 22nd — and we need two humans to take it on the road.
This isn't a desk job. It's a road trip with a mission.
THE ROLE
Starting the third week of April, you'll join The Traveling Diaper Tour as one of two paid interns riding — and driving — the sculpture from city to city. Both roles require an active driver's license. You'll help set it up, talk to strangers, create content, build community on the ground, and document one of the most unexpected brand activations in recent memory — all leading to a big Earth Day moment in NYC.
Two roles available:
Content & Storytelling — You set up, film, edit, and find the angle in every city that makes people stop and think. You live for authentic moments and know how to make a diaper sculpture feel cinematic.
Community & Activation — You're the one people want to talk to. You set up, greet, engage, and turn curious bystanders into true believers. Every city feels like a homecoming when you're in it.
WHAT YOU GET
— Paid internship stipend for the full tour — All travel and accommodation covered — Real content reach through HIRO's platform — A front-row seat to the science and soul behind friendly fungi technology — A story you'll be telling for the rest of your life
WHO YOU ARE
You care about what ends up in landfills. You're scrappy, warm, and unafraid to talk to a stranger about what's in their baby's diaper. You thrive in motion. You hold an active driver's license and you're ready to use it. You don't need a lot of hand-holding. You want this summer to mean something.
THE CONTEXT
20 billion disposable diapers end up in US landfills every year (100 billion globally) — designed to sit there for almost 500 years. Most people have no idea. The Traveling Diaper sculpture exists to change that. HIRO Diapers are powered by friendly fungi and designed to break down — not linger. We're hitting the road to show America there's a better way.
