Public Relations Strategy Intern (Flexible)

Are you looking to use your skills for a mission-driven, community-focused cause? Are you curious about New York City’s "wild side"—the parks and coastlines that keep our local wildlife and adventurous residents thriving? 🦆☘️🐰

Join Wild City as we develop engaging programs to keep NYC’s green spaces and wild coasts buzzing. We are seeking a Public Relations Strategy Intern to help lead our audience development and outreach. This role offers the chance to create highly visual, compelling narratives that attract a diverse community of supporters.

 

⭐ Flexible & Remote: We offer flexible volunteer schedules that fit your life. You’ll build user-centric, real-world projects that showcase your talent to our community, corporate partners and your future employers. 

⭐Under 20 hours a week is fine. We'll provide regular feedback to keep you on course and working towards an achievable goal. 


🌲 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging, shareable content for the platforms where our community hangs out (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook). 
  • Strategize outreach: Pitch stories to journalists and influencers that grab attention and foster an ongoing relationship with Wild City.
  • Brand Building: Produce compelling visuals, videos, and copy that establish and elevate Wild City’s brand identity.
  • Community Management: Manage and moderate our social channels, responding to comments and fostering real-time engagement.
  • Strategy Development: Build the "Wild City Playbook" by developing procedures and training materials to ensure your PR strategy continues to thrive.
