IT Intern – Practical AI & Agentic AI Focus

Summary

The IT Intern will focus exclusively on applying practical AI and agentic AI tools to improve technical workflows and operational efficiency. This role is designed for candidates interested in hands‑on AI implementation, task automation, workflow optimization, and experimenting with agentic AI systems to streamline IT processes.

 

Position Details

  • Location: The Woodlands, TX or Irving, TX 
  • Duration: May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Primary Responsibilities

  • Use AI tools to automate repetitive tasks such as: 
    • Generating technical documentation
    • Drafting troubleshooting guides
    • Summarizing tickets and support interactions
    • Assisting with basic diagnostics through AI analysis
  • Build small automation workflows using agentic AI platforms (Copilot, workflow agents, orchestrators).
  • Evaluate AI tools and propose opportunities for automation within IT processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation for AI workflows, prompts, and automation procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to pilot AI‑augmented workflows and measure their effectiveness.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in practical AI, applied automation, and agentic AI systems.
  • Familiarity with any AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, workflow agents, automation platforms).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn emerging AI technologies.
