Join Wild City as we develop engaging programs to keep NYC’s green spaces and wild coasts buzzing. We are seeking a Funding Strategy Intern to assist with research and outreach to funders. This role offers the chance to master a high-demand skill applicable to any career path. 

⭐ Relevant Career Experience: This role is especially helpful for students interested in finance, entrepreneurship, sales research & business development, policy analysis, public affairs and government relations

⭐ Flexible & Remote: We offer flexible volunteer schedules that fit your life. You’ll build real-world projects that showcase your talent to our community, corporate partners and your future employers. 

⭐Under 20 hours a week is fine. We'll provide regular feedback to keep you on course and working towards an achievable goal. 

 

🌲 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prospect Research: Use LinkedIn and online databases to identify potential funders and grant opportunities. Develop and nurture current corporate and strategic partnerships. 
  • Strategic Analysis: Evaluate which funding and grant opportunities best align with Wild City’s mission.
  • Data Management: Track prospects and deadlines within our CRM.
  • Proposal Support: Review application and pitch requirements, strategize Wild City proposals and help draft submissions alongside the Wild City team.
