Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in handling cases. While a background in workers’ compensation law is preferred, it is not required. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of legal principles, excellent analytical skills, and a strong passion for guiding clients through complex legal matters. As an Associate Attorney at Schlossberg & Umholtz, you will work closely with senior attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional legal services and secure favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation cases from inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Collaborate with clients to gather information and build strong cases.
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
- Stay current on developments in workers’ compensation law and regulations.
Qualifications
- Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
- 1-3 years of experience practicing law preferred.
