Information Technology Intern
The Information Technology Intern will contribute to enhancing SI Group's business process efficiency. This role involves engaging in a variety of projects and responsibilities that can entail:
- Assisting with the design, development, testing, and documentation of AI and automation solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Supporting data preparation, analysis, and visualization activities for AI/ML use cases
- Participating in proofs of concept (POCs) and pilot projects related to AI technologies
- Documenting processes, models, and learnings to support knowledge sharing and future scalability
- Following IT standards, security guidelines, and ethical AI principles
- Exposure to real business use cases and large-scale systems
- Opportunities to present findings and contribute ideas
Qualifications
- Degree program must be Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Science/Technology, or other related STEM major.
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, or data analytics concepts
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, SQL, or JavaScript)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Completed a minimum of one year of a degree-granting four-year College or University (rising Juniors or Seniors preferred)
- Must be 18 years or older, and be an active undergraduate/graduate in good academic standing
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Eligible for work within the US without sponsorship
- Completion of pre-employment screening requirements of a background check and drug testing
