Quality & Individual Experience Intern
Bello Machre – Quality & Individual Experience Intern (Summer 2026)
Part-Time | 10–15 hrs/week | 10 weeks | Glen Burnie, MD
$2,000 stipend available upon completion of 120 hours
About the Role
Bello Machre is seeking a Quality & Individual Experience Intern to work directly with the Quality Services Director to support individual voice, medical safety organization, and care consistency across our Residential, Community Development Services (CDS), and Employment programs.
This internship combines meaningful interaction with individuals served and structured, detail-oriented project work. The intern will conduct Individual Happiness & Satisfaction Surveys, assist with assembling Individual Medical Response Packets, and help organize standardized nursing skills materials for residential homes.
This role offers practical, real-world experience in human services quality systems — balancing person-centered engagement with the behind-the-scenes organization that helps services run safely and smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Individual Happiness & Satisfaction Surveys
Conduct structured Happiness & Satisfaction Surveys with individuals receiving services
Schedule and coordinate interviews (in-person and/or virtual)
Create a respectful, welcoming environment that encourages honest feedback
Track and document responses accurately
Identify themes and assist in summarizing findings for leadership review
This project ensures that individuals served have a direct voice in shaping services and agency improvements.
Individual Medical Response Packets
Assist in compiling and organizing Individual Medical Response Packets for each person served. These packets are designed to ensure that during a medical emergency or hospital visit, critical health information is immediately accessible and accurate.
Packets include:
• Face Sheets
• Physician’s Medication Orders (PMOFs)
• Insurance cards
• Hospital discharge documentation
• Essential medical information
The focus of this project is medical continuity and organization — ensuring information is complete, clearly structured, and ready when needed.
Universal Skills Guide Assembly (Nursing-Identified Skills)
Assist with assembling standardized Universal Skills Guides identified by the Nursing Department. These guides include pre-selected, approved materials for core health-related tasks such as:
• Checking blood pressure
• Measuring temperature
• Pulse oximetry
• Administering eye and ear drops
Responsibilities include organizing materials, laminating, assembling packets, hole punching, and preparing finalized guides for distribution to residential homes.
While this project is operational in nature, it directly supports care consistency by ensuring frontline staff have clear, accessible reference materials available in each home.
Continuous Improvement & Special Projects
Support quality-related initiatives
Identify documentation or organization gaps during project work
Assist with additional quality-focused projects as needed
