Inclusion Facilitator
NATURE OF WORK
Under general direction of the Recreation Supervisor, provides a wide range of recreation activities and fun outdoor opportunities for children ages 6 – 12. Assists with developing, preparing and implementing weekly theme-based activity plans to help participants actively engage, learn and have fun throughout the summer with a focus on aiding with varying participant needs.
HOURS
27 weekday hours: Monday - Thursday, June 8 through July 31, 2026.
Orientation: June 8-11. No programming on June 19 and June 29 - July 2, 2026.
This is a seasonal position and is therefore temporary in nature. Position ends at the end of the season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provides the opportunity for success for all participants by adapting activities, managing behaviors, encouraging positive social interactions, and providing any additional assistance as needed.
Actively engages with and provides supervision of participants to create a safe and interactive environment, including ensuring safety precautions, caring for and maintaining equipment, materials, and facilities, and performing light maintenance duties as assigned.
Collaborates with other staff members for success of the program.
Assists in the preparation and supervision of on-site and off-site field trips.
Attends and participates in all orientation, planning and staff meetings.
Prepares necessary forms and reports (accident, attendance, property damage) and assumes direct responsibility of turning in all written forms and materials to supervisor, as required.
Administers first aid for minor injuries sustained by participants.
Participates in efforts to ensure Richfield is an equitable, inclusive and respectful organization and supports the City’s mission, vision and core values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 16 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Educational background and/or experience working/volunteering with youth with disabilities
One year experience working, volunteering, or having lived experience with children ages 6-12.
Fluency in Spanish, Somali, Hmong or Vietnamese.
