JOB DESCRIPTION
Apex is seeking a Data Intern to support analytics, reporting, and engineering initiatives across our consulting practice. This role provides hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling, and BI tools while contributing to real project work and internal accelerators.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Participate in implementing data quality frameworks, metrics, and monitoring processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data.
- Work with root-cause analysis and resolution of data quality issues.
- Engage with enterprise metadata management practices to ensure clear definitions, lineage, and classification of data assets.
- Data Strategy design-Define long-term data architecture and platform direction in collaboration with IT and analytics teams.
- Conduct research on industry best practices, emerging data governance tools, and regulatory trends.
- Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for leadership or governance teams.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and interviews to understand how data is used across client organizations.
- Contribute fresh ideas to help strengthen the organization’s data culture.
- Participate in data stewardship and data governance playbooks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or related field
- Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Understanding of data workflow concepts
- Understanding of data governance
- Strong analytical and problem?solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We are hiring hybrid in the US except in CA, CO, WA and NY.
