Adventure Trek Guide

Responsible to: Summer Program Director/ Unit Directors

Position Summary: Adventure Camp Counselors are responsible for the implementation of

summer camp program to the specification of the Summer Program Director, while ensuring the

safety and well-being of campers, and fostering an inclusive and positive camp environment that

fulfills Westview’s Mission and Vision statements and in accordance with ACA’s Best Practices.

General Responsibilities:

●

Implementing of the summer camp program

●

Care and control of campers and program equipment

●

Participate wherever needed to strengthen the quality of all camp programs

●

Maintain communication with the Summer Program Director and Unit Directors

Specific Responsibilities:

●

Lodge in tents

●

Transport campers in 5 passenger vans

●

Participate in staff meetings during summer camp

●

Obtain all required certifications and trainings to run a successful camp program

●

Ensure that all camp activities align with ACA’s Best Practices

●

Ensure that all camp activities align with Westview’s Mission

Qualifications:

●

Minimum of 21 years of age

●

One year of Westview work experience preferred

●

Have basic understanding of all program activities

●

Be able to live by Westview’s Statement of faith

●

Must be able to pass a background check
