About Atlas Health Solutions Incorporated:
Atlas Health Solutions is a Reno-based startup building a platform that connects clients with health and fitness coaches and nutritionists. The platform brings messaging, scheduling, payments, and progress tracking into one place, making it easier for clients to stay consistent while giving coaches the tools to run their business independently.
Internship Description:
The Community Wellness Content Intern will support Atlas by researching and creating clear, engaging educational content related to fitness, training fundamentals, and preventative health. This role focuses on translating health and wellness concepts into practical resources that support client education and engagement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete 360 hours of work as an intern (32-40 hours per week, 9 weeks minimum)
- Research approved content topics related to exercise, training basics, wellness, and preventative health
- Draft educational content for client-facing use (short guides, blog-style articles, and simple explainers)
- Assist with creating and refining content for distribution across appropriate channels (as assigned)
- Support development of structured content outlines and content calendars (as assigned)
- Summarize research findings in clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with the team to incorporate feedback and edits to match Atlas tone and goals
Goals and Expectations of the Intern:
The intern is expected to develop skills in health communication, research synthesis, and clear writing for public audiences. By the end of the internship, the intern should be able to produce well-organized drafts on approved topics, apply feedback efficiently, and contribute to a consistent library of client-facing educational materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate OR graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno after the Spring ‘26 semester
- Spring ‘26 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program
- Student must be enrolled in a major or minor program in the following colleges:
- Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources (CABNR)
- Business
- Engineering
- Science
- Public Health/Orvis
- Strong communication and willingness to take feedback
- Reliable and able to collaborate with a small team in a hybrid environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Interest in health, wellness, fitness, public health, or preventative health education
- Comfort summarizing information clearly and accurately for general audiences
- Strong organization and reliability with deadlines and revisions
- Experience with content writing (academic, campus, or personal projects) is helpful but not required
Desired Schedule for Intern:
32–40 hours per week over the summer term, generally Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with scheduling coordinated in advance with the supervisor.
Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 360 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
