JOB SUMMARY
The SecD mission is to provide innovative security solutions that protect our people and organization from both external and insider threats, while fostering a resilient, forward-thinking security environment.
KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
MAJOR DUTIES:
GS-09:
- Participate in security compliance reviews, surveys and inspections of all FBI space maintaining NSI and other sensitive information.
- Collaborate internally and externally with partners to gather and share pertinent information to move investigations through the background process.
- Assist in preparing security plans and procedures while maintaining historical records, directives, executive orders, other related documents and databases.
- Review and analyze individual personnel vetting documents to ensure background investigations are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
GS-11:
- Initiate indices checks, arrest record checks and ELSUR checks.
- Analyze correspondence regarding possible security concerns and assessments.
- Prioritize and drive investigations in support of FBI hiring initiatives and critical personnel needs.
- Recommend safeguards for space constrictions, tracking systems, and information handling systems providing sensitive information.

Specialized Experience (SE)
GS-09: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-07 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Experience interpreting, evaluating, and applying security guidelines and policies.
- Experience conducting security interviews and briefings to prepare analysis.
- Experience effectively and efficiently planning and completing assigned tasks.
In addition to the above GS -11: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-09 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Experience reviewing, analyzing and resolving security issues to protect personnel, data, and facilities.
- Experience analyzing investigative reports to develop information regarding security vulnerabilities; developed leads; and proposed recommendations.
Desired Skills
Desired skills are NOT mandatory and will NOT be utilized to minimally qualify applicants. Desired Skills are:
- Experienced with specialized Microsoft Products to include: Forms, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, and SharePoint.
- Experienced with any of the following: personnel, physical, information, and industrial security.
Education
All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
GS-9: Applicant must have a master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
GS-11: Applicant must have a Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
