We’re Hiring: Veterinary Technician
📍 Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site

Join the team at the historic site where South Carolina began! We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to support animal care operations within the Animal Forest.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the staff veterinarian with medical procedures, treatments, and vaccinations

Provide daily care, feeding, and health monitoring for animals

Maintain habitats, facilities, and veterinary clinic supplies

Support animal health recordkeeping and inventory management

Assist with general operations and supervise the Animal Forest in the curator’s absence

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Veterinary Technology

At least 1 year of animal care experience in a zoological setting

Valid South Carolina Veterinary Technician license (or ability to obtain)

Ability to work outdoors and perform physically active duties

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Help care for the animals that bring early South Carolina history to life while working in one of the state’s most unique historic sites.
