Internship Position: FWCS Google Ads & Website Analytics Intern

Position Overview

The Google Ads & Website Analytics Intern will support the Chamber’s digital marketing efforts by assisting with Google Ads campaigns, website tracking, and performance analysis. This internship is ideal for a college student interested in marketing, data analytics, communications, or business technology. The intern will gain hands‑on experience with industry‑standard tools while contributing to meaningful community‑focused projects.

Key Responsibilities

Google Ads Support

Assist in creating and managing Google Ads campaigns (Search and Display).

Help conduct keyword research and audience targeting.

Draft and refine ad copy under supervision.

Monitor campaign performance and flag trends or issues.

Support A/B testing efforts for ads and landing pages.

Website Tracking & Analytics

Help maintain tracking tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.

Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and engagement metrics.

Assist in setting up conversion tracking for key actions.

Identify basic website issues (broken links, slow pages) and report them to the team.

Support the creation of simple dashboards and reports.

Reporting & Insights

Compile weekly and monthly performance summaries.

Assist in analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Present findings to staff in a clear and organized format.

Technical & Administrative Support

Help configure tags, triggers, and events in Google Tag Manager (with guidance).

Collaborate with staff or web developers to troubleshoot tracking issues.

Maintain documentation of campaigns, tracking setups, and analytics processes.

Qualifications

Current college student studying Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Basic understanding of digital marketing or analytics concepts.

Interest in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or website performance tracking.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) is helpful.

Preferred (Not Required) Skills

Coursework or experience with digital marketing, analytics, or advertising.

Exposure to Google Ads, Google Analytics, or Google Tag Manager.

Basic understanding of SEO or website optimization.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Internship Details

Part‑time internship (10–20 hours per week).

Hybrid or remote options available.
