Applications Developer Intern
Global is one of the most respected names in aviation & aerospace insurance. We offer many types of coverage like General Aviation, Aerospace Manufacturers, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Space & Satellite, and much more. Located in Morris Plains, NJ this internship opportunity will work in our Information Technology (IT) department. The work schedule consists of 21 hours per week in office (Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday) when the spring semester ends. Jeans are permitted every day of the week.
This role will support the development team by assisting in the design, coding, testing, and documentation of software applications. Furthermore, will focus on learning & contributing to small tasks under close supervision, while gaining exposure to Agile development & enterprise software practices. Additional duties are listed below.
- Assist in coding & debugging software modules under guidance
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as spring planning & daily stand-ups
- Support testing efforts through basic unit testing & documentation
- Shadow senior developers to gain exposure to enterprise systems & workflows
Skills/Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Exposure to object-oriented programming & web development concepts
- Familiarity with TypeScript, HTML, CSS, & basic SQL
- Interest in learning Angular, .NET, Web API, & Agile development practices
- Strong desire to learn CI/CD tools & secure coding principles
- Good communication & organizational skills
Pay Range
Anticipated Pay Range For This Role Is:
$20.00 - $22.00
This pay range represents the hourly salary for this position.
