Job Summary
This is a 1099 contract, on-site role for a Podcast Host located in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The Podcast Host will be responsible for leading interviews and conversations on a B2B video podcast featuring marketing leaders and executives from technology companies. The role involves guiding engaging discussions about how businesses grow while creating a natural and compelling on-camera experience for guests and viewers.
The Podcast Host will collaborate with the production and creative team to prepare for each episode, research guests, and develop thoughtful discussion topics. This is not a scripted teleprompter role; the host should be comfortable asking insightful questions, following up on interesting responses, challenging surface-level answers, and keeping conversations engaging and substantive.
The Podcast Host will serve as the on-camera presence of the show, helping create an authentic and professional environment that encourages meaningful conversations and delivers high-quality content for the audience.
Commitment for this role is approximately 1–2 podcast episodes per week.

Responsibilities
- Host and conduct on-camera interviews with marketing leaders and executives at B2B technology companies.
- Research each guest before the recording — understand their company, their role, their recent work, and what makes them worth listening to
- Prepare a question outline for each episode that balances structure with room for natural conversation
- Guide the conversation in real time — ask follow-up questions, dig deeper on interesting points, redirect when answers go off track, and keep the energy up
- Make guests feel comfortable on camera so they open up and give their best answers, not rehearsed talking points
- Deliver clean, professional on-camera presence: eye contact, body language, tone, pacing, and energy that holds a viewer’s attention
- Collaborate with the production team on episode flow, segment timing, and any on-screen elements (intros, transitions, outros)
- Participate in brief post-recording debriefs to flag the best moments, key soundbites, and any segments that should be highlighted in clips
- Be available for on-location recordings at client offices across the DFW metro area (Plano, Frisco, Richardson, McKinney, Allen)
- Represent EXL professionally in all guest interactions, from initial introductions to post-recording follow-ups
- Plan, script, and deliver engaging podcast episodes that align with our brand voice and target audience.
- Conduct interviews with guests, ensuring smooth flow of conversation and capturing insightful content.
- Collaborate with the team in writing compelling show notes, episode summaries, and promotional content to maximize reach across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with the production team on content ideas, technical setup, and visual elements using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Interpret audience feedback and analytics to refine content strategies for increased engagement.Qualifications
- Strong on-camera presence — you are comfortable, natural, and engaging on video without a teleprompter.
- Solid understanding of B2B marketing concepts: demand generation, content marketing, account-based marketing, marketing automation, brand positioning, and how companies sell to other companies.
- Ability to research a guest and their business quickly and turn that into smart, relevant questions.
- Strong conversational interview skills — you listen actively, follow up naturally, and know when to push and when to move on.
- Professional communication and presence — you will be interacting directly with senior marketing leaders and C-suite executives.
- Reliable and punctual — recordings happen on a set schedule with guests who have limited time.
- Reliable transportation to travel to recording locations across the DFW area.

- Experience interviewing executives or senior professionals in a structured, professional setting
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their impact on marketing and business operations
- Active presence on LinkedIn or other professional social media platforms
- Experience with guest outreach or booking for podcasts or media projects (not required but considered a plus)
