High School Math Teacher
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled High School Math Teacher to instruct students in grades 9–12. The teacher will deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction that promotes problem-solving, logical reasoning, and academic achievement. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics education and committed to supporting diverse learners.
Responsibilities
Teach high school mathematics courses such as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and/or Statistics
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district curriculum standards
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Design and administer assessments, projects, and exams to evaluate student learning
Analyze student data to inform instruction and support academic growth
Provide timely feedback and academic support to students
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
Participate in professional development and school activities as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid state teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics (or eligibility to obtain)
Strong knowledge of high school mathematics curriculum and instructional best practices
Ability to engage and motivate high school students
Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching AP, honors, or advanced mathematics courses
Familiarity with educational technology, graphing tools, and learning management systems
Experience using data-driven instruction and differentiated teaching strategies
