Position Title:
Part-Time Marketing, Communications, and Development Director
Reports To: Chapter Director and Board of Directors
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee (Hybrid – some remote work possible)
Time Commitment: Approximately 10–12 hours per week, January–December 2026
Compensation: (Grant-funded, part-time position)
Position Overview
The Marketing, Communications, and Development Director will play a vital role in strengthening Chattanooga NJTL’s visibility, community engagement, and fundraising capacity. This position will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and development plan to support organizational growth, sustainability, and alignment with the mission of using tennis as a vehicle for youth development, education, and life skills.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and execute Chattanooga NJTL’s 2026 Marketing and Communications Plan.
• Manage and grow social media presence across all platforms with consistent, mission-driven messaging.
• Update and enhance website functionality, ensuring content is current and engaging.
• Oversee design, production, and distribution of marketing materials (print and digital).
- Coordinate community awareness campaigns and press/media outreach.
- Development & Fundraising
• Collaborate with the Chapter Director and Board to implement fundraising strategies and donor engagement activities.
• Maintain and expand donor database; track outreach, donations, and acknowledgments.
• Assist with donor communications, grant proposals, sponsorship packets, and stewardship reports.
- Support planning and promotion of fundraising events, including junior tournament series and adult community pop-up events.
- Organizational Support
• Work collaboratively with the Chapter Director and Board to ensure alignment of marketing and fundraising goals.
• Provide quarterly progress updates and metrics on outreach, donor engagement, and communications outcomes.
- Participate in regular staff and board meetings as needed.
- Participates in program activities as needed.
Deliverables and Success Measures
• Board-approved Marketing and Development Plan completed by March 2026.
• 20% increase in social media engagement and community visibility by mid-year.
• Updated donor database and improved digital communication systems by Q2.
• 10–15% increase in donor giving and sponsorships by year-end.
- Comprehensive year-end impact report shared with stakeholders. Participates in program
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, or community engagement (nonprofit experience preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in social media management, digital marketing tools, and basic website maintenance.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to work independently.
