Responsibilities
🗓️ Weekly Virtual Meetings
- Mondays @ 9:00 AM MST
- Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM MST
- Fridays @ 8:00 AM MST
- SkillBridge participants also meet Thursdays @ 9:00 AM MST
✍️ Grant Writing & Proposal Development
- Support the execution and management of USAEV’s grant‑writing initiatives with strong organization and follow‑through.
- Draft letters of inquiry, funding requests, and supporting documents using both traditional writing skills and AI‑enhanced tools.
- Prepare polished, persuasive written materials that clearly communicate mission, impact, and need.
🔍 Research & Opportunity Identification
- Collaborate with the grants team to identify opportunities for educational institutions, youth‑focused organizations, and creative partners.
- Conduct research on funders, grant cycles, and mission‑aligned opportunities.
- Assist in preparing application materials on behalf of partner organizations.
📣 Communication & Presentation Support
- Assist in scheduling presentations, preparing follow‑up materials, and communicating with potential funders.
- Deliver clear, structured, and compelling written and verbal presentations.
📊 Strategy, Reporting & Internal Support
- Contribute to the development of local and national grant strategies, including planning, budgeting, and research.
- Prepare progress reports and updates for supporters and internal teams.
- Serve as a resource to volunteers, helping them plan and execute tasks related to grant‑supported initiatives.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate student majoring in Communications, Political Science, Business, Marketing, Sociology, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using AI tools (OpenAI or similar) or a willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
