Community Engagement Associate
The Community Engagement Associate supports the planning, coordination, and promotion of community events designed to engage residents, partners, and local organizations.
This role works closely with staff, vendors, and community groups to ensure events are well-organized, well-attended, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning and coordinating community events from preparation through onsite execution.
Work with staff and partners to manage event logistics, including coordinating vendors, community organizations, and participants before and during events.
Help manage events on-site with team members, including bringing materials, setting up displays, organizing signage, and assisting with event breakdown.
Support the transportation, setup, and organization of event materials such as banners, signage, and outreach supplies.
Occasionally store or help manage event signage and materials between events to ensure they are ready for future use.
Conduct community outreach alongside staff to promote upcoming events and increase community awareness and attendance.
Represent the organization in a friendly and professional manner while interacting with community members, partners, and vendors.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with community outreach, event coordination
Comfortable engaging with the public and representing the organization at community events.
Organized, proactive, and able to work collaboratively with a team in fast-paced environments.
Ability to assist with light lifting, transporting materials, and helping with event setup and breakdown.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications and Canva
Ability to converse in Spanish
