Assistant General Manager - Restaurant

Barrio Tacos is looking for a driven, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead our high-energy, high-volume restaurant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in both Front of House and Back of House operations, we want to meet you.

About the Role

The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain strong team performance. This is a leadership position requiring a balance of hospitality, operational excellence, and team development.

Schedule: Approximately 45 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Support daily FOH and BOH operations to ensure smooth, efficient service

Lead, train, and motivate team members

Uphold hospitality and service standards

Monitor food quality, safety, and cleanliness

Assist with scheduling, inventory, and labor management

Help drive sales while controlling costs

Step in as acting manager in the GM’s absence

Qualifications

2+ years of restaurant management experience preferred

Experience in both Front of House and Back of House operations

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment

Knowledge of inventory control, labor management, and food safety standards

Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
