We are seeking a motivated and passionate Operations Manager Intern to support and deliver impactful programming that uplifts our participants and the broader community.
What You Will Do
Team & Intern Management
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact and team lead for all Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. interns — managing check-ins, task assignments, and accountability so that questions and coordination do not fall to the Executive Director.
- Run weekly intern team check-ins to review progress, address blockers, and keep projects moving on schedule.
- Onboard new interns using the organization's SOPs and onboarding materials, ensuring every team member knows their role and responsibilities from day one.
- Maintain the intern task tracker and monitor deadlines across all departments.
- Prepare a brief weekly summary report for the Executive Director covering team updates, wins, and any items requiring her attention.
Systems & Operations
- Maintain and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring organizational tasks — ensuring processes are consistent and do not depend on any one person.
- Manage the organization's shared Google Drive — ensure all files are organized, properly labeled, and accessible to the team.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for internal team meetings and collaborative work sessions.
- Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and bring solutions to the Executive Director.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Natural leader — comfortable directing peers and holding people accountable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
- Self-starter who takes ownership without needing to be reminded
- Genuine interest in nonprofit leadership, operations, or organizational management
Onboarding & Support
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for this role will be provided at onboarding. You will have a clear step-by-step guide for every core task in this role before your first week begins.
