Clinical Assistant
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $19-$20/hour DOE
Schedule: Frequent early morning starts required
Certifications Required: Current CPR/BLS and Infection Control Certification. (We will assist with both certifications upon hire.)
This position requires travel to multiple dental offices throughout North Orange County/Riverside within a 30-40 mile radius. You must have your own transportation.
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to support our anesthesiologists in providing safe and efficient anesthesia care. This role involves assisting with patient preparation, monitoring, equipment setup, and post-procedure care in various dental offices. When not assisting with procedures, you will also help with administrative tasks that support the admin team. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist anesthesiologists with patient preparation, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history.
· Assist anesthesiologists with direct patient care, preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative periods.
· Set up and break down anesthesia equipment before and after procedures.
· Maintain infection control protocols and ensure equipment is properly sanitized.
· Provide post-anesthesia care instructions to patients and caregivers.
· Keep accurate records and assist with documentation.
· Maintain clear communication with dentists, anesthesiologists, and office staff.
· Assist with administrative duties and tasks in between cases to support the admin team.
· Frequent early morning starts required.
· Must have reliable transportation to travel between office locations.
Qualifications
· Required: Current CPR/BLS and Infection Control Certification. (We will assist with both certifications upon hire.)
· Preferred: Prior experience in a medical or dental office, particularly in anesthesia or surgical settings.
· Strong understanding of infection control and patient safety protocols.
· Ability to work efficiently in different dental office environments.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
· Reliable transportation is a must, as travel between offices is required.
