Software Intern

Agile RF Systems is developing a novel weather radar and is seeking individuals to assist with data postprocessing to create/validate data products.

  • This is a summer internship, 40 hrs/week, in Berthoud office position. 
  • Work with radar system engineer to develop and refine radar data products and perform analysis/comparison to other radar systems using python.
  • Develop scripts and tools to read, parse, and visualize radar data files.
  • Work with engineer on methods to overlay radar data for many different parameters and weather events.
  • Build and maintain Docker images for Python-based radar data processing pipelines, including dependencies such as NumPy, SciPy.
  • Generate plots, visualizations, and statistical summaries of radar data for analysis and reporting.
  • Required, Familiarity with Python programming and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, etc.).
  • Use software version control tools (Git) and industry-standard workflows to keep projects on track.
  • Not required, but plus to have familiarity with basic programming languages such as C/C++.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers in a research and development environment.
  • Support social media posting announcements with content creation targeting social media attributes
