From the Land of Kansas Intern

Intern Project Duties:

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:  

• Assist with developing and scheduling social media content
• Support event planning and on-site logistics for farmers’ markets and program promotional events
• Help create and update promotional materials; assist with outreach to potential new From the Land of Kansas members 
• Support general marketing and communications projects that promote Kansas agricultural companies and From the Land of Kansas member products

Qualifications:

• Marketing, Communications, Ag Communications, or Ag Business majors are preferred (not required).
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; as well as a basic understanding of marketing plans and the agriculture sector. 
• Strong communication ability (oral and written).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines. 
• This position may have some overnight travel.
• Employee must have a valid Class C (or higher) Kansas driver’s license or equivalent license from another state. Employee is responsible to maintain an acceptable driving record to safely drive state vehicle and be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
