State Hospital North is seeking a Full-Time Clinician. State Hospital North in Orofino, Idaho, is a licensed 60- bed psychiatric hospital providing primarily involuntary inpatient treatment for adults in psychiatric crisis who are committed to the Department of Health and Welfare. State Hospital North collaborates with patients, their families, and the referring regional behavioral health centers to develop targeted goals and objectives for the individual's treatment episode while simultaneously focusing on critical supports and arrangements for follow up care after discharge.

This position is not eligible for telework.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

 

 

  • Perform assessments, evaluations, observations and interviews using a variety of assessment tools to identify needs and formulate diagnostic impressions.
  • Develop treatment plans, and recommend services and interventions.
  • Provide direct counseling to individuals, families or groups.
  • Provide clinical case management services.
  • Formulate assessment and therapeutic recommendations, prepare findings, diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
  • May select, score, administer and interpret psychological tests.
  • Provide crisis intervention support.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

You must possess all the specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum and specialty qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.

 

A Master's degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field is required for this position. (Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study) in accordance with Idaho Codes: 54-3206, 54-3402, 54-3405, and 54-3214.

SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Requires licensure in a professional specialty in one of the following areas:Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3206, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405, Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405.
