Graduate Assistant Green Dot Program Coordinator
Primary Responsibilities:
Program Planning: Plans and implements the campus-wide Green Dot program aimed at the prevention of gender violence; engages the campus network of faculty, staff, and students to support Green Dot efforts; communicates with Green Dot representatives as to program protocol; and consults with other Green Dot institutions to learn best practices.
Facilitation of training and events: Schedules and coordinates Green Dot training and programs for the campus community; responsible for all event details; and partners with Green Dot facilitators.
Program Evaluation: Conducts assessment and data tracking for ongoing evaluation of the position; creates and maintains attendance and related data for training and events; analyzes data to understand the campus-wide impact of the program.
Public Speaking: Delivers presentations to faculty, staff, and students about gender violence and the Green Dot program itself.
Campus Outreach: Coordinates events and continuous promotion of Green Dot; reaches out to groups to build awareness of Green Dot; collaborates with NISG’s Director of Gender Violence Prevention to advocate for Green Dot and culture change with students and student organizations; organizes educational resources and promotes them to the campus community via the UNI website and social media; develops community partnerships to support Green Dot concepts in all spaces that UNI students occupy; creates and carries out promotional opportunities in order to keep Green Dot messaging active at all times.
General Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time (enrolled in at least 9 eligible credits), degree-seeking student in a UNI's graduate program. Online students able to commute to campus are eligible for assistantships.
- Be regularly admitted without provisions to degree status in a graduate degree program.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00. First semester graduate students must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75.
- Have an official transcript on file and be fully declared in their graduate major before the start of the assignment.
- Must meet and complete I-9 eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must complete UNI’s mandatory employee training timely.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, public speaking, and the ability to work professionally with students. Strong verbal and written skills using clear, accurate, and professional communication are essential.
- Must have ability to keep information confidential and be dependable and reliable with excellent follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and conduct oneself in a highly professional manner.
- Experience discussing and educating others on the topic of gender-based violence strongly preferred.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week; some evening and week; some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Terms of Employment:
- For the Fall semester 20 hours per week, beginning August 24, 2026 and ending December 18, 2026.
- For the Spring semester 20 hours per week, beginning January 19, 2027 and ending May 14, 2027.
Compensation:
- Graduate Assistantship stipend is $6,365 for full-time (20 hours per week) per semester. Pay is biweekly and stipend is prorated depending on start date.
- Graduate Assistants and their spouses may qualify for in-state tuition. Spouses must submit marriage certificate to gradcollege@uni.edu.
- Graduate Assistants may receive University holidays and do not work during the interims between semesters.
