Regulatory Compliance Intern

 

Atlanticus is ecstatic to offer an 8-week summer internship position with our company to one deserving minority student seeking to build and exhibit deep skills in Regulatory Compliance and other legal matters within the financial services industry.

Program Logistics:

·      Duration: June 1, 2026-July 24th, 2026

·      Location: Atlanta, GA

·      Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

·      Rate: $20 per hour

·      Health Benefits: None

Application Deadline:

Serious applicants are encouraged to submit their application materials as soon as possible. The deadline for all applications is March 31, 2026.

Applicant Criteria and Eligibility:

The internship is open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors pursuing degrees in legal, finance, accounting, statistics, or marketing.  Each student must meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. Because this internship is located in Atlanta, Georgia, applicants with ties to the area are highly encouraged. Please note that housing or relocation reimbursements are not included in this internship if relocating for the summer. 

 

The ideal applicant preferably has interest in the banking or financial services industry, is someone with an inquisitive mind, a thirst for learning and understanding the financial services industry, and working with a team of managers to assist the business with ensuring compliance with applicable law. 

 

Internship Responsibilities

Drafting of policies and procedures; research related to new regulations; assisting with audit requests; review of marketing collateral for regulatory compliance. A percentage of the intern’s responsibilities will also include assistance with developing a financial literacy workshop to be delivered from Atlanticus to specific target markets, including underserved communities.

 

How to apply

This internship is a competitive program. Therefore, it is important that each applicant takes time and care in the completion of the application and corresponding documents. Applicants must follow certain procedures throughout the application and registration process. These procedures are the responsibility of the applicant and must be completed in the timeframe allotted. The procedures are as follows:

1.    Complete the Intern Application, in the program packet. This application must be neatly typed and error-freeApplications containing corrections, typographical errors, or any other errors will not be accepted.

2.    A personal statement (refer to # in the application). 

3.    Submit two letters of reference.   A faculty member from the department of the applicant’s academic major must complete at least one of these references.   

4.    Provide a copy of all transcripts.

5.    Meet/interview with Atlanticus Program Coordinator and Department Manager to discuss the program and requirements.
