Position Overview

As an Interactive Media & Digital Experience Intern, you’ll collaborate with USAEV’s creative and innovation teams to design interactive activities, build digital environments, and support simulation‑style experiences that mirror real‑world challenges. You’ll contribute to concept development, content creation, digital event coordination, and youth‑centered storytelling initiatives that strengthen engagement across our platforms. 

This role is ideal for someone who loves designing experiences, building systems, and shaping the future of digital engagement for young creators.

Key Responsibilities

🎮 Interactive Experience Design & Concept Development

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new interactive mechanics, creative challenges, and digital learning experiences.
  • Assist in refining existing concepts and contribute to user testing.
  • Provide feedback to enhance engagement, accessibility, and user experience. 

🌐 Digital Program & Challenge Management

  • Help organize and support digital events, creative challenges, and interactive learning sessions.
  • Assist with scheduling, participant coordination, and activity guidelines.
  • Monitor user engagement and help ensure smooth, inclusive participation. 

✍️ Content Creation & Digital Storytelling

  • Contribute to blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and digital content highlighting USAEV programs and creative initiatives.
  • Support livestreams, digital showcases, or interactive broadcasts featuring youth creators and community stories.
  • Interview creators, educators, and participants to generate meaningful content. 

📣 Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Assist in developing promotional materials for digital programs and interactive experiences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns that grow participation and community engagement.
  • Help amplify youth voices and highlight creative achievements across USAEV platforms. 

Qualifications

  • Passion for interactive media, digital storytelling, creative technology, or youth‑centered digital experiences.
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Game Design, Interactive Media, Digital Arts, Education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, streaming tools, or interactive media environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced creative setting.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and aligned with USAEV’s mission of empowering youth and creators.
