School Psychologist Apprentice (Earn and Learn)

The Manistee Intermediate School District is seeking a School Psychologist Apprentice to join our team! This opportunity is designed for college or graduate students currently pursuing a degree in School Psychology who are looking to gain meaningful, real-world experience while continuing their studies. This position provides a chance to build practical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and work directly with students and school teams.

Position Summary

The School Psychologist Apprentice will work under the supervision of a certified School Psychologist to support a variety of services for students and school teams. This role provides valuable experience in consultation, assessment, and collaboration within school settings while the candidate continues their graduate coursework.

Responsibilities

Assist School Psychologists with student observations and data collection

Support the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process

Participate in team meetings and consultations with staff

Assist with behavioral and academic data review

Observe and support components of the psychoeducational evaluation process

Perform other related duties as assigned under supervision

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a graduate program in School Psychology

Interest in working with students in educational settings

Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff

Strong communication and organizational skills
