- Template-Based Design (Canva) — Use Canva templates for static and carousel posts and Edits for reels to customize text, images, and visuals as needed. Save and organize designs in the correct folders in Google Drive or Canva
- Caption & Script Writing — Write captions for each post that align with brand voice and tone, are adapted for the platform (i.e., Instagram vs TikTok), and are SEO-optimized.
- Light copywriting for clarity, formatting, flow, and writing / light copyediting scripts for green screen-style videos
- Scheduling & Publishing — Schedule posts using Meta Scheduler (Instagram) and TikTok scheduling tools
- Instagram Stories — Post daily Instagram Stories using feed post reshares, story templates, promos, or highlights
- Content Planning & Tracking (Trello & Google Drive) — Review assigned tasks and deadlines in Trello, update task status as needed, and keep files clean and clearly labeled in Google Drive
- Experimenting with different strategies to grow readership and promote our “Getting Open" podcast.
- Attending brainstorming meetings to develop new content ideas.
- Regularly reviewing social media analytics to tweak our strategy as needed.
- Interacting with our audience on social media platforms to increase engagement and followers.
Requirements:
- Access to your own computer and reliable internet connection.
- Ability to communicate consistently throughout your scheduled shifts with our team in real-time via Slack and email for chatting, voice calls, video calls, conference calls, and screen-sharing.
- Ability to work a SET weekly schedule between the days of Monday and Friday. (Schedule approved at the beginning of the internship).
- Available to work 20 hours per week between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET for 4 months. Last day of internship will be calculated 4 months after the start date. NOTE: Like in a regular in-office setting, when you're online during your shift, you'll be interacting via Slack and available at a moment's notice during your scheduled times, actively working throughout the day - so please make sure that you are able to be fully available during the 20-hour schedule you decide on before accepting the internship.
