Purchasing Coordinator
American Fasteners is seeking a detail driven and analytical Purchasing Coordinator to manage vendor relationships and support inventory control.
This role directly impacts inventory flow, stock availability, and company profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and lead times
• Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment needs
• Track and expedite backorders
• Review pricing changes and maintain cost accuracy
• Resolve discrepancies related to shipments and invoices
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation
Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze inventory data and trends
• Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or distribution preferred
• Fastener industry knowledge preferred
• Strong vendor communication and follow up skills
• Comfortable working with ERP or inventory systems
