About Gurucul
Gurucul is a cybersecurity analytics company delivering Next-Gen SIEM, UEBA, Insider Risk Management, and identity/threat detection solutions. We help enterprises reduce noise, detect threats faster, and improve security outcomes with advanced analytics and AI.
Role Summary
Gurucul is seeking a highly motivated, early-career Product Marketing Specialist to support go-to-market execution across our cybersecurity portfolio. This role is ideal for a recent Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate who is a strong writer, curious about security and enterprise software, and eager to learn how to translate product capabilities into compelling stories, proof points, and sales-ready assets.
You will support analyst relations, competitive intelligence and battlecards, and launch content (messaging, enablement, web content, and collateral). You’ll work closely with Product Management, Sales, Demand Gen, and Marketing Ops to drive clarity, consistency, and velocity in how Gurucul goes to market.
Key Responsibilities
Messaging & Positioning
- Support development and upkeep of product messaging, positioning statements, value props, and proof points for target personas (CISO, SOC leaders, Insider Risk, Security Architects, Security Operations, Identity Access Management).
- Help maintain a consistent narrative across website pages, decks, datasheets, and campaigns.
Product Launch Content & Enablement
- Assist with product launches: launch plans, internal readiness, and external content delivery.
- Create and maintain sales enablement assets: product one-pagers, solution briefs, pitch decks, talk tracks, FAQs, and demo “what to show/why it matters” guidance.
- Partner with Demand Gen to translate launch themes into campaign-ready content (email copy, landing page copy, webinar abstracts, social posts).
Competitive Intelligence & Battlecards
- Build and update competitive research on key categories (SIEM, UEBA, ITDR/identity analytics, insider risk, SOAR/automation adjacencies).
- Create sales-ready competitive battlecards including differentiators, positioning guidance, landmines, objections/handles, and win stories.
- Maintain a competitive library and refresh cadence aligned to market changes and field feedback.
Analyst Relations Support
- Support analyst relations workflows: briefing prep, presentation development, Q&A documents, and post-briefing follow-ups.
- Help maintain an “analyst-ready” repository of company/product facts, differentiators, customer proof points, and roadmap narratives (as appropriate).
- Track analyst interactions and ensure action items are captured and completed on time.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management to gather technical inputs and convert them into clear, customer-facing value.
- Work with Sales/SE leadership to capture objections, competitive intel from the field, and content gaps.
- Coordinate with Marketing Ops for asset organization, version control, and distribution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s degree) in Marketing, Business, Communications, Economics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3.5 GPA (overall or in major)
- Strong writing and editing skills; ability to simplify complex technical topics.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple deliverables and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset and willingness to learn the cybersecurity/enterprise software landscape.
- Strong collaboration skills; able to take feedback and iterate quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, cybersecurity, or product marketing.
- Familiarity with analyst firms (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC) and basic briefing mechanics.
- Experience creating sales enablement materials (battlecards, talk tracks, decks).
- Comfort working with basic market/competitive research and synthesizing findings.
- Familiarity with tools like PowerPoint/Google Slides, Excel/Sheets, CMS basics, and collaboration tools (Notion/Confluence, etc.).
Core Competencies
- Clear, concise communicator with strong business judgment
- Curious, coachable, and able to learn quickly
- Highly organized, execution-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Strong stakeholder management and follow-through
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and iterating fast
